Cut energy bills by up to 40%

If your building was built between 1950-1990 and still has single-pane windows, it is losing huge amounts of energy every year. Taiga upgrades them quickly, cleanly, and cost-effectively.

Windows are the biggest energy leak…
They inflate utility costs, undermine ESG goals, and leave tenants uncomfortable. However, retrofitting windows has traditionally been messy, disruptive, and painfully expensive (~$300/ft2).

Where Taiga delivers the most value

Your savings are dictated by the climate zone you’re in. This map shows how the added insulation from the Taiga inserts could reduce heating and cooling losses.

The colder the zone, the faster the payback.

FAQs

How does Taiga work?

Taiga adds a transparent insulating layer to existing windows. It boosts the thermal resistance (R-value) of single-pane glass by up to R4.5, creating a barrier that helps reduce heat transfer and air leakage.

What window styles do they work on?

The Taiga insert is designed for fixed-frame, single-pane windows. It can be adapted to any window style but is best suited for curtain wall and window-wall systems commonly found in mid and high-rise buildings constructed between 1950 and 1990.

Will it change the appearance of the building?

No. From the exterior, the building’s appearance remains unchanged. From the interior, Taiga looks like a clean, low-profile second layer of glass that’s nearly invisible once installed with no tinting, haze, or visual distortion.

How long do the Taiga inserts last?

The inserts are engineered for durability and long-term performance. While exact lifespan may vary based on conditions, they are designed to perform effectively for 20–25 years, aligning with standard commercial window replacement cycles.

How long does the install take?

Installation is quick and non-invasive. Inserts are installed from inside the building and typically completed within a few hours overnight or during off-hours, requiring no disruption to tenants, scaffolding, or exterior access.

Who installs the inserts?

Taiga inserts are installed by TwinGlaze certified technicians or authorized partners. This ensures installation quality and reliable thermal performance.

Will the inserts damage the window?

No. The installation process is designed to bond securely without altering or damaging the original window glass or frame. The sealing process leaves no residue behind if the insert is removed.
